He knelt before me, sucking one of my hard nubs into his mouth. His large hands encompassed my shoulders and held me still as he took his time exploring.
Breathing proved to be a challenge. Every time I inhaled the scent of his musk weakened my struggles. I could hold my breath only for so long.
Val could forcefully feed by giving me an orgasm otherwise I’d have to willingly open my energy source. I just had to ignore the delicious way he tongued each nipple or the way he arched my back just right so our bodies would press against each other.
He took hold of my yoga pants and slid them off my hips. Of their own free will my legs stepped out and helped him undress me. “You’re so beautiful.” Kneeling before me, he grazed his teeth over my hips then lifted me off the ground and set me on the edge of the table.
Never in a million years would I have thought I’d be served on it as his dinner. Spreading my legs over his shoulders, he crouched so he could run his fingers between my labia.
I moaned and silently cursed my traitorous body. With my arms tied my balance was precarious. If I fell back I’d probably dislocate my shoulders and Val’s body blocked me from moving forward.
With the tip of his tongue, he stroked my clitoris in hard tight circles. Familiar sparks of ecstasy zinged over my nerve endings. “No, no, no.” I tossed my head back. Oh yes, yes, yes. Squirming away, I tried to cross my legs blocking Val from his goal. I was so close. I couldn’t think of anything but riding Val to completion. I wanted his cock inside of me, thrusting deep and hard until I couldn’t remember how to spell my own name.
Val stopped wrestling my legs open and jerked me off the table.
As I landed on my feet he turned me around and bent me over. Pinned to the table, my cheek pressed to the wood, I could only wish this was a game. He’d take what little energy I owned and I would have to hunt. It had been years since I’d been forced to fuck a stranger.
Val trailed his hands over my hips, caressing my ass as if trying to decide from which angle he should attack.
I heard his zipper being undone and my struggles weakened at the sound. “Val, please…” Closing my eyes, I wasn’t sure what I begged for anymore. I wanted him so bad, worse than I’d ever experienced. Every touch sent shivers of delight and every withdrawal a loss so deep I could have cried.
My mothers had warned me about incubus tricks and lures. I’d thought their stories about pheromones and magic touches were embellished so they’d hold my attention. Not anymore.
Sliding to the entrance of my wet pussy, Val thrust just inside then withdrew. His fingers dug into my bare hips as if hesitating. I could hear him panting as he shifted his weight then he drove himself deep inside of me.
The stretch of my secret muscles burned yet the fullness sent pleasure throughout my body. I arched back and cried out. Just like their need for beauty to hunt, incubi were well endowed to pleasure.
Our table rocked to his desperate rhythm as he plunged deeper and harder, trying to release my elusive orgasm. At this point, I couldn’t fight my predisposition for fantastic sex. Rising on my tiptoes, I gave him full access. If he took too much energy and killed me, I’d go out screaming ride’em cowboy.
He pulled away with a frustrated noise. Too overwhelmed to care, I watched as he lay on top of the table next to me then crawled to straddle him when he gestured for me to move. His pheromones thickened the air and flooded my blood stream. How could I resist?
I slipped his hard, thick cock back inside and tightened my muscles to milk him. There was nothing like the sight of a male gone wild while I rode him.
Sweat slicked his skin. He dug his fingers into my thighs as he pushed from below, meeting every rock of my hips as if we danced to a beat. “Feed me.”
Chapter Four
As my climax reached a peak, inside my lower abdomen I sensed something release. The place I stored my energy relaxed its hold.
Leaning upward, he pulled me into his strong arms. The touch of his soft lips contrasted to his hard thrusts and sent me over the edge. I bronco’d to the delicious ecstasy cascading up from my pussy. It traveled up, up, up until the energy poured from my mouth into his.
Val had never taken from me what was willingly given. Not until today. The flavor of wild forest and full moons slipped over my tongue. I’d made this energy with Cooper, my shy wolf shifter. Val moaned as he tasted it. He liked Cooper. With a heart wrenching yell, Val broke contact before he drained me dry and started sucking out my own life force.
Our cries joined as we finished together.
I fell forward, my forehead connecting with his shoulder and holding my weight as I tried to catch my breath. A wave of dizziness threatened to suck me into a void.
“Shit, Pia.” Val worked at untying my bound arms.
They flopped at my sides, lifeless and weak. Pretty much how I felt all over.
Val ran his hands over my face. “Talk to me.”
“I want a divorce.”
“We’re not married yet.”
“Then I want diamonds.” I still lived. I’d have to feed now, but living was good.
He ran his hands over my back. “I’m so sorry. I should have stayed away. I thought I had a rein on my hunger but as soon as I walked in the suite I lost all control.”
“I feel terrible.”
“Let’s get you some juice and—and…” He cleared his throat. “Call John.” He retrieved my cell phone from my purse and went through my contacts to dial. “He’s not answering.”
“No shit.” I gestured to my face. “Do you see the shock?”
He tossed me an annoyed glance. “I’ll have to call Zur-Sin.” He carried more power than Cooper and could afford to feed me off schedule. The thing was could we afford to pay the price he’d demand for the service.
Flexing my arms, I tested their strength. Nothing seemed damaged. The floor looked a mile away as I gingerly got to my exhausted legs then tentatively crossed the room to Val. I twisted my torso and swung my arm back, using the forward momentum to slap Val across the face.
His head jerked to the side with the impact.
My hand made a satisfactory smacking noise and left a sharp sting in my palm. “Don’t ever do that again.”
Val rubbed his cheek. “The worst part is I’m still hungry. I fought not to suck everything from you.” He closed his eyes. “Fout pas mal.” He swore in his native tongue.
The lock to our hotel suite clicked open and the door swung wide as Hoel rushed inside carrying a small box. He stumbled to a halt his eyes riveted to my bare ass. “That’s not a good idea. Get away from Val.”
I sighed. “You’re too late.” Stumbling back to the table, I managed to puddle into the closest chair. The world stopped spinning and feeling returned to my fingertips. “Juice.” I didn’t care about Hoel getting an eyeful of my nakedness. He’d fed me once, when we’d first met, as an emergency. That qualified him for bare ass views in my book.
Hoel dropped the box on the table and headed into the kitchen. Returning with a large glass of apple juice, he sat next to me. “I’ll never eat on this table again.”
“Oh, please. Like this is the first time Val and I have had sex on it.” I gulped the glass empty and enjoyed Hoel’s grimace. What did he expect? We were an incubus succubus couple. He should be thrilled we hadn’t dragged him into it. For Val’s assistant he seemed too, not innocent, never that, but…umm, naïve?
I set the empty glass next to the non-descript cardboard box in front of me. No logos declared its origin and the top was already open. Leaning forward, I reached for it, but a warm hand clamped over my wrist. My gaze rose to meet Val’s concerned expression. “What’s in the box?”
“Something I’m not proud of.”
Pulling my gaze from his, I stared at the container. An ache bloomed in my chest. Forcing me to feed him was something outside of Val’s control but this… “Couples who love each other don’t keep secrets.”
Val had never experienced a loving r
elationship before. Our race considered love a weakness and something to exploit in others. My family was considered odd for their caring marriage, and Val pursued me for a similar association, except he didn’t understand the rules to love. He knew all the right things to say and do but it almost seemed like he mimicked the acts from an instruction book. It was the difference between reciting a speech and giving one.
It didn’t take a genius to pick up a couple romance novels or few DVDs to study the moves. He doted on my every whim and fought off his wives refusal to allow our engagement. Then he kept secrets and tried to suck the life out of me.
Mixed messages much?
I raised my eyebrow and stared pointedly at his hand restraining my wrist.
Sighing, he released his hold and let me take a peek. Vials of blue energy filled the inside. I glanced at the packaging once more and noted no address written on the outside. His wives hadn’t sent these.
Val gathered the box in his arms and plopped onto a chair. “I’m so sorry.”
“You’re saying that a lot tonight.”
“I know.” He ran his fingers through his messy hair.
“Don’t make a habit of it.” I crossed my arms over my bare breasts. Something twisted in my stomach, making me a tiny bit nauseous. I poked at it and decided to name it jealousy.
Where did those vials come from?
Hoel returned with my robe and avoided eye contact.
Barefoot and shaken, I watched as my fiancé clutched the box of mysterious energy. Val might be fed but his scent, or pheromones, still hung in the air. It made me edgier, if possible. “I think you have some explaining to do.”
He met my glare. “My wives stopped sending me vials two weeks ago.”
“Why?” Val was most succubi’s wet dream, gorgeous in an exotic way, filthy rich, and powerful. The trifecta of an incubus my kind wanted as a husband. In return they’d have to feed him via vials since most couples lived apart, or the old fashion way, through sex. Stopping delivery on their energy would give Val grounds for divorce in our culture.
“It’s childish.” He shook his head and gave me a weak smile. “I should have called earlier to tell them the packages hadn’t arrived.”
“It’s because of me, isn’t it? Our engagement.” I ground my teeth. The bitches hated the idea of my joining their family. All they saw was an unemployed, college dropout. They weren’t wrong but I had potential. I just needed time.
And patience.
Maybe a little inspiration.
Shit, this was all my fault. I should have been more active in shopping for new suitors.
Val reached for my hand but I flinched. The sudden pain in his eyes made me flinch again. “I’ll fix this, Pia.”
My chest felt hollow and cold. “Why didn’t you tell me?” He didn’t trust me or thought I couldn’t handle the news. I admit I wasn’t the strongest of succubi. Most considered me fragile or insane, but it wasn’t true. I could wear big girl pants. There was a pair hanging in my closet right now.
“Because there’s nothing you can do to fix it. This is between me and them.”
Frowning, I glimpsed Hoel setting the empty vials from the cupboard onto the counter. “Where did the energy come from?”
Val opened his mouth to answer but I held up my hand. “I wasn’t addressing you, Mr. Hunan. Hoel, please answer me.”
The fallen angel had trouble lying. Apparently fibs were not the reason for his fall. He didn’t even glance at Val or me. “I purchased them.”
“Whores?” I glared at Val. “My father is going to flip when he finds out you’ve been buying from the desperate.” When my father took over Lake City’s charm of incubi/succubi this practice was outlawed. Too many succubi were hurt or enslaved for the production of the well sought after energy that incubus desired.
“Just today, Pia. A shipment from my wives was supposed to arrive yesterday but nothing came.”
I rubbed my forehead, trying to ease the hint of a migraine starting. My sister wives thought me too useless but Val loved me anyway.
Or so I thought.
“People who love each other don’t withhold information like this.” We had so much to work through before I allowed him to link engagement bracelets on my wrists. “Wait, they knew you needed more energy and withheld it knowing I was living here?” Were they trying to kill me?
Val sat back in his chair as if I had slapped him again. The harsh lines of his handsome face darkened. “I’ll take care of this. They’re my problem but in the meantime, for your safety, you should stay somewhere else.”
“Fuck.” I left him speechless at the table as I marched to our bedroom. “It’s not fair,” I shouted at anyone who bothered to listen, even our neighbors. We were just settling into a nice groove.
Yanking my suitcase from under the bed, I began blindly tossing clothes inside.
I had left my parents’ home and moved in here. We’d started looking at new suitors to add to my roster for feeding and I even had my wrists measured for the engagement bracelets! How could I convince his wives to like me if they refused to accept my calls, e-mails, or texts? My mothers told me to be patient and stand firm.
My mothers…What would they think when I showed up with a suitcase in hand? Worse, what would my sisters say? I’d spent the last few years under all their watchful eyes as I recovered from heartbreak and what they considered an eating disorder.
Now with this fiasco I’d look even less prepared for marriage, which would only make my father happy. He’d been against this from the beginning. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. How could I add this stress on them when Dad was probably on a date right now?
“I miss you already.” Val’s softly spoken words drained all my fury. He leaned against the door frame, eyeing the carpet as if it hurt too much to meet my glare. Once more he said the perfect thing. Was this skill or truly how he felt?
I slumped onto the edge of the bed and ignored the need starting to burn between my thighs. Even after Val’s dominating fuck, I wasn’t finished having sex. My soul dragged at the prospect.
“Hoel will drive you to your parents’ home.”
“Not a good idea. My need is growing and the last thing I want is to molest Hoel.” As the urge to feed grew, my lack of control faded. Just like Val’s had. Hoel had once been forced to feed me. I wouldn’t do that to either of us again.
Val finally raised his pale blue eyes and met mine. “I’ll fix this, Pia. I promise.”
Chapter Five
Back to fucking day three. Thanks Val.
I drove my VW Bug through the less popular part of Lake City with my pink suitcase on the passenger seat. My parents lived in the suburbs. Their huge house was in the country with a small apple orchard and a pond in the woods, but I had to make a pit stop first.
The pounding of music ricocheted against my car windows as I passed the nightclub district. A long line stood outside the bar Zur-Sin owned, but I kept driving. I pressed my thighs together to ease my growing desires. Going inside a place filled with men would lead to disaster.
An abandoned industrial garage loomed ahead and I headed to the entrance. Most people didn’t know the largest vampire nest in the northeast was contained in an underground facility below this building. My main food source lived here.
Zur-Sin, master vampire of Lake City and the bane of my existence, owned a contract that insured we fed each other every nine days. Out of the kindness of his black heart, and I’m sure out of Val’s wallet, he’d been picking up the slack since John had vanished.
I stared at the metal door leading to the antechamber of the nest as heartburn crept up my throat. Sin would know I was here. The place was monitored twenty-four-seven by hidden cameras and microphones. He didn’t like surprises, like his succubus dropping in out of the blue for an extra feed. This would cost me.
Taking a deep breath, I gathered what tact and grace I owned, tossed my jacket over my shoulders, and sauntered to the entrance in my stilet
tos. Sin liked it when I dressed the part of a hooker. I hoped this golden napkin, otherwise known as a dress according to the label, would make him more apt to not be a jerk. Especially since December in Lake City was not tropical.
I knocked and froze my ass off, clutching my hands in front of me so I wouldn’t fidget. What would I do if he didn’t answer? My other suitor, Cooper, would gladly feed me but I’d been using him too often. His young shifter body could only take so much.
The door inched open and the last person I expected to greet me peeked outside. “Hi Pia.”
“Gigi? Why are you answering the door?” That job belonged to the guards, usually some badass. Not the most submissive female shifter I’d ever met. Hell, she even drew out my inner alpha male.
She gave me a shy smile that made my hunger howl. I had to orgasm to create the energy that kept me alive and I gravitated toward males, but I had a huge girl crush on Gigi. I doubt she’d be into me pinning her to the wall and exploring those fantasies. Especially with a bunch of security cameras pointed in our direction.
I took a step away, giving me room to breathe, and her a running chance.
“The guards asked me to answer when they saw you dressed to feed.” She pointedly eyed my barely covered breasts.
The males had scrambled like rats on a sinking ship when I showed up? I didn’t know if I should be complimented or not. Sending Gigi was a creative idea. She’d be the last person on Earth I’d ever hurt, but if I did, the boys would at least get a show. Assholes. I didn’t know her whole story but she lived in the vampire nest and shunned the local wolf shifter pack. A stray was what they called her in public but behind their hands they called her Sin’s lapdog. I knew better though. I once lived in the nest and knew Sin treated her like one of his own. The haunted look in Gigi’s eyes when she saw one her own kind did spur my curiosity and my pity.
“Sin wouldn’t like it if you fed from the nest without his permission and he’s not here.”
